Optimizing Inventory Planning for a Global Aluminum Systems Leader

How Streamline helped Aluprof standardize purchasing, improve data transparency, and enhance inventory planning across thousands of SKUs

About the client

Aluprof SA, part of the Grupa Kęty SA Capital Group, is one of the leading producers of aluminum systems in Europe. With over 70 years of experience, the company serves more than 1,900 regular customers and operates across 57 export markets and 9 foreign companies. Aluprof identified several critical challenges that led the company to seek a dedicated inventory and demand planning solution:

  • Demand forecasting was difficult due to short 5 –7 day lead times for sales orders and long purchase order lead times of up to 3 months

  • The company needed a tool capable of managing approximately 70,000 SKUs in various variants and colors while ensuring a targeted 98% service level

  • Inventory and purchasing processes differed significantly by buyer and product group, resulting in inconsistent workflows and inefficiencies

  • Inventory analyses were time-consuming and complex, contributing to both shortages and excessively high inventory levels

  • There was no dedicated tool for building purchasing plans, leading to manual errors and a lack of standardized processes

Project

Aluprof partnered with Streamline and its Certified Senior Supply Chain Partner Artur Janyst. The implementation project took three months to complete roll-out and followed a structured, multi-stage process. It began with creating the business concept and data model, followed by preparing and validating the necessary data. The team then built the workflows and the Streamline project, conducted several testing iterations, and made adjustments based on the results. Afterward, the target project was launched, employees were trained, and reports and automations were developed using Streamline data.

“Support from the Streamline team was exceptional. Having an expert who understands both the system and our supply chain processes made a meaningful difference throughout the implementation.”

Outcomes

  • Monthly shortage rates reduced more than 10× between early 2023 and 2025, maintaining high order volumes.

  • Weekly inventory for aluminum sections stabilized and increasingly maintained at or below the defined limit.

  • Continuous monitoring across key product groups, including items below safety stock, out-of-stock positions, and excess inventory.

“Streamline is a tool worth recommending due to its many advantages: fast and simple data analysis, a unified demand view for many buyers, and having all necessary order-planning data in one place instead of across multiple ERP systems. It simplifies purchasing across multiple locations, supports quick detection of potential shortages, and enables optimal purchasing aligned with warehouse capacity and supplier lead times.”
