Aydya Limited is a UK-based company with a turnover exceeding GBP16 million, managing an inventory of 500 active SKUs. The company operates across three warehouses located in different countries, serving up to three distinct market segments. This complex operation requires precise monthly purchasing forecasts and decisions for between 3,000 to 4,500 SKUs.
Challenge
Aydya Limited faced considerable challenges in managing its supply chain due to the complexity of handling 500 SKUs across multiple warehouses and market segments. The manual data collection and collation process for purchasing forecasts—up to 4,500 items monthly—was labor-intensive and prone to human error. This inefficiency hampered decision-making and increased operational risk. Aydya needed a solution to automate data collection, enhance forecasting accuracy, and streamline its purchasing process across multiple locations and market segments.
Project
Aydya Limited partnered with Streamline, a collaborative planning platform, to overhaul their supply chain management processes. The project was focused on automating the data collection process and providing real-time inventory data. The implementation was split into two main phases:
Back-End Integration. The platform was connected to Aydya's SRP system, automating data collection to reduce human intervention and errors.
Front-End Customization. The user interface was adjusted to make the system intuitive and ensure that the data could be easily separated by warehouse and market segment.
The Streamline team managed the back-end integration efficiently, and quickly transitioned to front-end adjustments to enhance user experience. Regular weekly check-ins and daily communication helped the project stay on track and ensured that any arising issues were resolved promptly.
Outcomes
The implementation of Streamline significantly improved Aydya’s supply chain management. By automating the collection and analysis of inventory data, the company eliminated human errors and cut down the time spent on purchasing decisions. Streamline’s AI-driven forecasting feature provided accurate future demand insights, giving Aydya a competitive advantage each month by starting with comprehensive, real-time data.
Though the system was still being tested alongside the previous manual system, early results demonstrated that Streamline's platform was far superior in terms of speed, accuracy, and forecasting capability.
