How MAUDAU improved supply planning accuracy across 500,000 SKUs

Streamline helped Maudau align sell-out data, supplier offers, and planning parameters to improve ordering speed and decision accuracy.

About the client

MAUDAU is a Ukrainian online multi-category marketplace and mobile supermarket, part of Fozzy Group. The platform manages over 500,000 SKUs across multiple product categories, including groceries, household goods, cosmetics, baby products, and electronics. As a fast-growing marketplace, MAUDAU focuses on maintaining availability, adapting to changing customer demand, and continuously improving operational efficiency through data-driven decision-making.

Challenge

Operating as a large-scale online retailer, MAUDAU faced increasing complexity in turning raw sales and supply data into actionable planning decisions. Rapid assortment expansion and market dynamics made it difficult to rely on existing forecasting approaches.

Several operational challenges limited planning accuracy and responsiveness:

  • Sell-out data at SKU level was distorted by market competition, pricing changes, and availability fluctuations

  • Frequent shelf price updates made demand signals unstable and harder to interpret

  • Supplier offers and actual purchasing conditions were not fully connected to planning decisions

  • Forecasting lacked a clear link between demand signals and replenishment parameters

Project

MAUDAU evaluated solutions that could consolidate demand signals and supply inputs into a single planning environment. Streamline was selected to provide a structured approach to forecasting and replenishment across a high-SKU assortment.

The implementation focused on combining historical sales data with actual supplier offers into a unified system. Planning workflows were built to enable purchasing managers to generate supply decisions based on forecast-driven recommendations aligned with defined planning parameters.

A key requirement was support for product classification and hierarchy, which allowed the team to structure planning across categories and groups. During implementation, significant effort was required to address internal data inconsistencies. Data cleanup became a necessary step to ensure reliable inputs for forecasting and planning processes.

As a result, MAUDAU established a more consistent connection between sell-out data, forecasting logic, and supply decisions, enabling faster reaction to demand changes and more accurate order placement.

Outcomes

  • Increased reaction speed in supply planning and order placement

  • Improved accuracy of purchasing decisions based on structured forecasts

  • Centralized visibility of stock, incoming supply, and planned orders across categories

“Streamline gave us a practical way to connect sell-out data, supplier offers, and planning parameters in one place. We now have a fast tool to check stock, incoming transit, and planned orders across any product group. The implementation exceeded our expectations, and the platform proved extremely useful for managing supply at our scale.”
